How to find best ideas for sale pocket dirt bikes

If you have owned a mini dirt bike you would never want to let it go. The good times that you spent on it, racing with friends and riding it on rough terrain; all these will remain with you forever. However it is essential to upgrade and move on to better things. Therefore, here are some ideas that will help in the sale of your pocket dirt bike.

The condition of your pocket dirt bike

Before you put up your mini bike for sale, do a thorough check on its condition. You need to make sure that the condition of the bike is good. It is very easy to examine the condition of the bike and it will affect your chance of sale if you don’t fix up your bike. Also the condition determines the cost that you can sell your bike for.

The usage

The longer your Pocekt dirt bikes are used, the lesser will be the price you can sell them for. However, if the bike has been regularly serviced and maintained well over the years, without the fading of color, it will attract a good price. The color of your electric pocket is very important as the looks and coolness are important considerations.

Safety gear with your bike

When selling your electric pocket bikes, the inclusion of your safety gear can help you get a better price. If your gear belongs to the limited edition class or if it is the perfect match for the bike, then a lot of people would be indeed willing to pay a higher price. However you must ensure that the gear is in good condition, as any defaults can easily be found and this in turn will result in not getting a higher a price on the bike.

The gearing is a bit too low and when fully charged it is impossible to keep the front end down if you punch the throttle. We will increase the gearing and make some minor mechanical improvements before testing again. The bike currently weighs 290 lbs with these heavy batteries.

Electric Bike The Perfect Transportation

Electric Bike Options – Perfect Transportation for a Better Lifestyle

Amid today’s high gas prices and concerns about global warming, an electric bike is an economical and sensible choice. And beyond that, it’s downright fun.

As gas prices soar and concerns grow over global warming, alternative fuel vehicles are gaining traction. When it comes to cars, trucks, and SUVs, a hybrid is currently the most popular alternative to a gas powered engine. But when it comes to short-range commutes, say 20 miles or less, an electric bike is a fun, economical, and environmentally friendly option. For only pennies, an electric bike can get you from place to place without breaking a sweat and without the hassles of traffic congestion.

Electric Bike The Perfect TransportationAn electric bike has pedals like an ordinary bicycle, and you can use those pedals to propel yourself under your own power. But the electric bike also has an electric motor, which you can use to augment your pedaling. The supplemental power is useful when starting from a stop or when riding against the wind. Alternatively, you can let the electric motor provide all the power while you sit back and enjoy the ride. This makes an electric bike one of the most versatile vehicles around. There are even models of electric bikes that fold up for easy storage or travel, as well as recumbent electric bikes, which will take bicycling to a new level of relaxation (just don’t fall asleep at the wheel!).

An electric bike can be purchased as an off-the-shelf item, or you can purchase a conversion kit to convert most any bicycle to an electric bike. The important factors to consider when selecting an electric bike are battery life (which determines how far you can travel on a charge), speed, and durability. Today’s electric bikes take advantage of recent advances in battery technology. Many electric bikes are powered by nickel-metal-hydride or lithium ion batteries, which can give a travel range of one two hours. Most electric bikes are capable of reaching speeds of 10 to 20 miles per hour. Durability is an important consideration, and like anything, you get what you pay for. You can spend under $500 for an electric bike, but the quality may disappoint you. The better quality electric bike can be purchased for around $500 to $1000. Check your local laws, but generally there is no registration required for an electric bike.

A Guide to Road Bikes – What To Look for and How To Buy

What exactly is a road bike and how do you pick the best one? This article covers everything about road bikes including how to pick the perfect one for you.

The most popular image of road bikes is in the field of cyclists leaning into a turn in the midst of le Tour de France. This visual reflects the beauty and symmetry that is the road bike. Made for speed, these inventions will give you the feeling of flying while never leaving the ground. These amazing creations are available at all price points for every budget, and are an inspiring way to exercise, see the countryside, lose weight and spend some quality time with yourself.

A Guide to Road Bikes - What To Look for and How To Buy

Standard road bikes come in a variety of measurements so you will need to know what size bike is appropriate for your frame. There are bike size charts online that will only require that you measure your inseam to find the right vertical fit. There is, however, another very important measurement to consider – the top tube distance.

This determines the angle at which you will lean over to navigate the handlebars. This second measurement is a great determinant in the comfort of the bike. Unfortunately, most bikes are made for men and do not have the shorter top tube that most women need. There are manufacturers who make this adjustment. So it may take a bit of extra shopping for the women.

Road bikes come with slimmer smoother tires than mountain bikes, and are meant to ride only on pavement. They often have the curved or bent handlebars that are available in various dimensions, strengths and tensions. The seat or saddle is also critical for comfort and performance. They are adjustable and should be set so that your leg, with foot flat on the pedal, is fully extended at the bottom of the rotation. As you cruise about on your new bike you will learn which of the gears matches which terrain. This will further your enjoyment as you gear-up and gear-down for maximum speed and handling.

With your purchase of road bikes for men, women or juniors, correct fit is the standard. Junior sizes should be chosen for the size of the child at the moment. Resist the urge to purchase a bike that they will "grow into." This can be a safety hazard. Additionally, give road safety instructions to all riders. Also, fill out your biking needs with helmets, knee and elbow pads, and water bottles. These items will add to a safe and fun adventure in your cycling hours. Go forth and ride! Faq Regarding Electric Bikes

Electric Bicycle Faq

Faq Regarding Electric Bikes1.) How do electric bikes work?

Electric bicycles use batteries as a source of power and a quiet DC electric motor as the driving mechanism. Electric bikes have several modes of operation and can be pedaled, power-driven or pedaled with the help of ‘power-assistance’.

2.) Power-assisted vs. throttle controlled?

Most of the electric bikes and scooters we sell are ‘throttle controlled’ – meaning you use a throttle to control the power and speed at which you travel. But some of our higher-end electric bicycles (IE: IZIP Enlightened models) use ‘power assist’ – which is an automatic mode of operation. Once you start pedaling, power assistance integrates seamlessly while you ride and provides the power you need automatically. No extra hand controls or throttle – just pedal and go. Once you use the brakes or quit pedaling, the power is deactivated and you need to pedal again slowly to re-activate assistance.

For people who prefer full control, a throttle provides a traditional feel and operates just like a motorcycle. For those looking for simplified operation, power assistance does all the work and eliminates the need for a throttle. Operating with power assist is comparable to a "moving sidewalk" at the airport – you do a little work – but move really fast!

3.) How fast do electric bikes go?

Faq Regarding Electric BikesThe speed of an electric bike will vary based upon several factors. With no pedaling, U.S. law restricts the speed of electric bicycles to 20 mph or less. This ensures you don’t need a license, registration, or insurance to operate your electric bike.

Most electric bikes are rated between 15-18 mph by the manufacturer. But the actual speed will vary depending on rider weight, terrain and road conditions. Some riders will be able to exceed the top rated speeds – while others may experience slightly less power. Keep in mind, U.S. law does not restrict how fast you can travel while pedaling, so most riders will easily exceed the top rated speeds while providing human assistance.

4.) How far can I go on a single charge?

The ‘range’ of an electric bike will also vary upon several factors. One of the main factors in determining how far you can travel on a single charge, is the type of battery you choose. Typically, Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries have the longest range – anywhere from 25-40 miles per charge (with pedaling) – but cost the most money. Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries average between 20-30 miles and are moderately priced, while sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries are the cheapest, with only 15-25 miles per charge.

Other factors which determine the range of a single charge include: rider weight, amount of pedaling, wind, road conditions and terrain (such as inclines or declines).

5.) How long does it take to charge the battery?

Battery charge times will vary between manufacturers, models and battery types. Typically, the initial charge will take 6-12 hours. For routine charging, higher quality batteries (such as Li-Ion and NiMH) will take less time – but you should expect to wait anywhere from 2-6 hours for a full charge.

6.) How long will the battery last?

Battery life will vary depending on the type of battery you choose and how well you take care of your battery. Typically, Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries last the longest – anywhere from 750-1000 charges. Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries have a life span of about 500-600 charges, while sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries last between 200-300 charges.

To extend the life of your battery, charge the battery regularly and promptly after each use. If you store your bike for prolonged periods of time, both the batteries and charger should be stored at temperatures above freezing and recharged every four weeks. The longer a battery sits uncharged, the faster the life will be reduced.

7.) What types of batteries are available?

Battery technology continues to improve everyday. Currently, there are 3 main types of batteries used in electric bicycles:

Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) – Lithium Ion batteries are the highest quality batteries available in today’s market. Although they cost the most money, they have the longest life, the lowest weight and the best total range per charge.
Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) – NiMH batteries are a mid-range battery type, and in our opinion, the best value. They’re light-weight, have an extended life span and provide great range when compared to the more common (and outdated) SLA battery.
Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) – Sealed lead acid batteries have been around for decades. Although they’re the cheapest form of battery technology, they have the shortest life, the lowest range and are extremely heavy when compared to other battery types.

Scooters everywhere!  It seems like there is a scooter craze in our neighborhoods, and young children are getting into this activity in a big way.  If your child has a kick scooter and now is ready for something of the motorized variety it might be time to consider an electric powered scooter.  There are numerous choices in the marketplace, and making the right choice can be confusing.  Many children push their parents to start with an electric scooter that might not be age appropriate.  Before you head out shopping try and be armed with some basic information so you are not pushed into making the wrong choice for your child.  The first decision point is what style to buy. The choices are purchasing a “stand up” scooter similar to a kick scooter, but electric powered, or the riding type similar to a motor scooter. This choice is a function of the age of the child you are shopping for. If the child is in the age range of 6 to 14 years then a stand up, kick style electric scooter is what you are looking for. If your child is 13 to 14 years old then the motor bike style electric scooter is appropriate. Check with your local authorities to make sure there are no laws, or restrictions regarding the age appropriateness of your scooter selection. Some purchasing factors to consider before you buy are:

Carrying Capacity: The heavier the rider the slower the scooter
and the range will be affected as well.  Acceleration and top speed are determined by the size of the rider. As a rule of thumb electric scooters for children are built for riders weighing less than 175 lbs.

Speed: Stand up, and ride type scooters like the Razor Pocket Rocket model have top speeds that do not exceed 15mph. Top speed depends on several factors, most notably the weight of the rider and the terrain being traveled. Factors like tire pressure and charge level of the batteries also affect performance but to a lesser degree. A good estimate of typical speed is in the 10 mph range.

Distance or Range Per Battery Charge:  A better measure of travel capability is riding time or motor run time per charge. This performance aspect can vary significantly depending on battery type which will be reflected in the cost of the scooter. A rough estimate is about 45 minutes of motor “on time” per charge. Factors such as the weight of the rider, and terrain, can affect this performance parameter. The typical distance range is 8 to 10 miles. The range will vary depending on model; just keep in mind the person selling the electric scooter will probably quote a figure that is on the high end of the range. Battery recharge time for a typical scooter battery is 4 to 6 hours. If you have an active youngster you might want to explore a second set of batteries!

Price: Avoid the “kick” style electric scooters that sell for less than 0. These scooters are available at ‘big box” retailers and while being functional initially, they probably won’t be of the quality and durability that can withstand the scooter jumping and antics of an active 10 year old child. You should be able to purchase a kick” style electric scooter in the 5 to 5 price range. A durable motor bike style electric scooter should be in the 5 and up price range.

After you have done your research, be sure and check the warranty and availability of service, and parts. Make sure that spare tires or wheels are readily available, as this is a common failure item.  Avoid “no-name” brand electric scooters. Some brands that have positive reputations are X-Treme, Razor, and Schwinn. Check out on-line stores as many have competitive prices, and good service.

Good luck in finding that perfect scooter for your child. You never know what might happen as you watch your child’s electric scooter experience unfold. You might just be looking for that adult electric scooter next!
